Flights between Taoyuan and northern Japan to commence on July 17
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – EVA Air announced yesterday that the airline will begin its Taoyuan-Aomori route on July 17, just in time for summer vacations, reported CNA.
EVA Air has flown irregular charter flights to the northern Japan city since 1995, and the new route is part of the airline’s Japan expansion.
The route will be traversed in an Airbus A321-200 aircraft, with eight business class cabins and 176 economy seats. Flights will take place every Wednesday and Saturday.
Flights from Taoyuan airport to Aomori airport will depart at 11:30 a.m. and arrive at 4:05 p.m. The return flight will take off at 5:15 p.m. and touch down at 8:20 p.m.
EVA Air first announced their intention to open the new route in November 2018, but no specific details were given. At that time, EVA Air said they will increase flights to Japan by 19 percent in 2019, through expansion of current services and introduction of three new flights to Aomori, Matsuyama, and Nagoya airports.
EVA Air said Aomori has many natural and cultural sites ideal for tourism, and the area has a wealth of activities suitable for families with children.
