Acerbic Australian stand-up comedian Jim Jefferies to perform at CPC Convention Hall in Taipei on Jan. 10

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- Outspoken Australian stand-up comedian, Jim Jefferies, will be performing in Taipei on Jan. 10.

The 41-year-old comedian will be bringing his "The Night Talker Tour" to Taipei's CPC Convention Hall at 8 p.m. on Jan. 10. Jefferies, whose real name is Geoff Nugent, recently received his American citizenship on his show "The Jim Jefferies Show."

Jefferies is known for his no-holds-barred brand of comedy which includes frequent mockery of President Trump and U.S. gun laws. He is also derided for his vulgarity and has been labeled as a "misogynist" for his jokes about women.

In response to criticism over his jokes about women, Jefferies told The Sydney Morning Herald, "I feel like I've been misogynistic for years and no-one's noticed until now! I don't know why it's taken so long for this to become an issue - it just proves that you have to keep repeating yourself before women will listen."
