Facebook可能推出新“紅包”功能
Facebook's 'red envelope' feature could possibly be identical to one offered by Chinese chat app WeChat
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Facebook may soon begin testing the brand new features "red envelope," which would allow users to send cash gifts to their friends and family, and a "breaking news" tag, which publishers can attach to their posts.
These two features were first spotted by The Next Web's social media director Matt Navarra who posted screenshots on Twitter.

The technology news website, Recode reported that Facebook is constantly testing new products and confirmed the information related to the "breaking news" tag but declined to share more details. As for the "red envelope" feature, much less information was shared, but it did not deny its existence.
Additionally, a Facebook spokesperson responded to Navarra's tweets by saying, "We're always testing new product experiences but there's nothing specific to talk about at this time."
The red envelopes, a part of Chinese culture, are monetary gifts given to family members or friends on holidays or special occasions. The first mobile version of a red envelope was popularized in 2014 by the Chinese mobile app WeChat. However, Recode reported that Facebook could possibly incorporate this feature in the form of peer-to-peer payments.
