Taiwan will provide all assistance needed: MOFA spokesperson on death of Serbian mayor

A Serbian mayor visiting Taiwan died on Saturday
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- According to reports from the Central News Agency, Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended their condolences to the family of the Serbian mayor, who died on Saturday in Yilan while he was on a visit as a part of an economic development delegation.
The MOFA said it extends its complete support to the family of the deceased and will do its best to provide any assistance needed.
Andrew Lee (李憲章) the spokesperson for MOFA confirmed the death of the Serbian mayor and said the delegate had passed out during a trip to Yilan at around noon on Saturday and died later.
At that time, a MOFA staff member who was with the mayor immediately took him to the nearest hospital, the National Yang-Ming University Hospital, but it was too late as the doctors were unsuccessful in resuscitating him.
The ministry has reportedly sent extended support via officers to provide full assistance in Yilan,according to Lee.
Lee also mentioned that the Taipei Representative Office in Budapest will do its best to provide complete assistance to the family members of the deceased that they might need.
The family has requested the name of the diplomat and the cause of death not be revealed to the media.
