7-year-old Taiwanese girl dies after suffering a high fever while on Emirates Airlines flight from Dubai to Germany
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- A seven-year-old Taiwanese girl suddenly died while suffering a high fever on an Emirates Airlines flight from Dubai to Munich yesterday (Oct. 11), reported China Times.
Flight #EK49, which was flown by an Airbus A380, swiftly made an emergency landing in Kuwait. The girl was accompanied on the flight by her mother, grandmother, brother, and sister.
Despite continuous efforts by the crew and physician to revive her, upon arriving in Kuwait, a doctor was seen taking her lifeless body out of the plane, reported Bild. The airline also confirmed that she had died.
A spokesman for Emirates said "due to an emergency with one of the passengers, the flight was forced to make an emergency landing, but unfortunately an emergency physician confirmed that the passenger had died."
The plane was delayed for an hour and a half before continuing on to Munich.
