TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Radio Taiwan International and the University of Taipei signed a letter of intent Wednesday to deepen cooperation in talent development and international promotion.
RTI Director President Chang Jui-chang (張瑞昌) and University of Taipei President Chiu Ying-hao (邱英浩) signed the agreement, per CNA. Chang said RTI has launched its “Young Voice 100” campus lecture tour to introduce the broadcaster to more young people, per RTI.
RTI plans to complete a mobile broadcasting vehicle by the end of this year equipped with low-Earth-orbit satellite communications, Chang said. With support from Chunghwa Telecom, he said the broadcaster hopes to bring the vehicle to the University of Taipei, giving students hands-on experience with mobile broadcasting.
Chiu said the two sides can expand cooperation through media and public communication courses. The university has achieved strong results in sports, education, and fine arts, with 100 students and alumni among this year’s Asian Games delegation, he added.
The National Intercollegiate Athletic Games will also return to Taipei and be held at the Taipei Dome for the first time, CNA reported.
