EVA Air receives five stars for record 11th year

長榮航空連續11年榮獲五星級航空肯定,創下紀錄

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — EVA Air has been named a five-star airline for a record 11th consecutive year, reports said Wednesday.

No other airline has received the honor so many times from consulting firm Skytrax, according to EVA Air. The star system was introduced in 1999 and is based on reviews of in-flight service, food quality, in-flight comfort, entertainment choices, and the attitudes of flight attendants and ground staff, per CNA.

Skytrax awarded five-star status to about 10 airlines. EVA Air said it remained among the best this year because of the efficiency of its check-in and transit services, baggage handling, and the quality of its VIP lounges.

The airline will continue to put safety, service, and sustainability at the top of its priorities, EVA Air President Clay Sun (孫嘉明) said. The aim is to provide passengers with a safe environment and high-quality service, he added.

EVA Air was also ranked No. 8 on the list of the world’s safest airlines compiled by AirlineRatings.com, CNA reported. This was the 13th consecutive year that EVA Air featured in the rankings.
