Taiwan's Uni-President raises prices across range of coffee products

台灣統一企業上調全系列咖啡產品價格

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — As global coffee bean prices have surged in recent years, multiple cafes and vendors in Taiwan have raised prices.

On Sunday, Uni-President increased prices on its coffee drinks by NT$5 (US$0.16), per CNA. The move follows hikes at Starbucks and Mr. Brown.

Uni-President said it had tried to absorb higher production costs in recent years. However, rising raw material prices have forced the NT$5 increase across coffee products sold in convenience stores and supermarkets nationwide.

Although supply chains have been stressed since the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing drought in Brazil — the world’s largest coffee exporter — has driven major price increases. Taiwan Coffee Association Vice Chair Wu Yi-ling (吳怡玲) said reduced yields have pushed global prices to record levels in 2025, per CNA.

Wu said coffee demand keeps rising while global supply falters. With consumption set to exceed production capacity, consumers should expect further price increases over the next few years.
