Acer unveils new AI-powered lineup

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Acer on Wednesday announced a new lineup of AI-powered products ahead of the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin consumer electronics show.

Acer Chair and CEO Chen Chun-sheng (陳俊聖) said at a press event that AI agents have revolutionized quality control for clients, per CNA. He said they reduced inspection times from 15 minutes to just 15 seconds and boosted productivity more than 60-fold.

Chen emphasized that responsible AI requires not only hardware and software innovation but also human-centered design. By automating repetitive checks, AI agents ensure consistency and accuracy while freeing workers to focus on complex problem-solving.

Among the highlights was Acer’s GN100 AI mini workstation, equipped with Nvidia’s GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip. With 128 GB of memory, 4 TB of storage, and up to 1 PFLOPS of FP4 performance, it is designed to run large AI models locally and reduce dependence on cloud services.

Other debuts included the Chromebook Plus Spin 514, powered by MediaTek’s Kompanio Ultra processor with a built-in NPU delivering 50 TOPS of AI performance, and the TravelMate X4 14 AI laptop for small businesses, featuring Intel Core Ultra processors and up to 115 TOPS of computing power. Acer also introduced three eco-friendly Vero laser projectors for office use.

In the ultrathin category, Acer showcased the Swift 16 AI laptop, featuring AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 processor, a 16-inch display, a magnesium-aluminum chassis, and a weight under 1 kilogram. For gaming, it unveiled the Predator Helios 18P AI laptop, two Predator Orion desktops, a Predator keyboard, and the latest Predator X27U monitor.

Acer also expanded into healthcare with its subsidiary Acer Medical, which presented the aiMed platform. The service converts doctors’ speech or text into structured electronic medical records in real time, ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards.
