Taiwan’s EVA Air to launch Taoyuan–Busan flights

台灣長榮航空(EVA Air)將開通桃園—釜山航線

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — EVA Air announced Tuesday it will launch daily flights between Taoyuan and Busan starting Oct. 21.

The new route expands EVA Air’s footprint in South Korea, adding to its existing services from Taipei Songshan Airport to Gimpo International Airport, and from Taoyuan and Kaohsiung airports to Incheon International Airport, per CNA. With the addition of Busan, EVA will operate 32 weekly flights between Taiwan and South Korea, per UDN.

The Taoyuan–Busan flights will be operated with an Airbus A321-200, offering 184 seats — eight in business class and 176 in economy. Both outbound and return flights are scheduled for convenient afternoon departures, with a flight time of approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes.

EVA Air said the new route will also improve transfer options for long-haul passengers. Travelers from Europe, the US, and Southeast Asia will have greater flexibility transiting through South Korea to reach southern regions of the country, including the port city of Busan.

Busan has become increasingly popular among Taiwanese tourists. According to the Korea Tourism Organization, one in four Taiwanese travelers to South Korea now includes Busan in their itinerary.

EVA Air said the new service is designed to meet rising demand and further strengthen its network for both leisure and business travelers.
