台灣合唱團於斯洛伐克音樂節奪得四面金牌

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Puzangalan Children's Choir from Pingtung won four gold medals at the 10th International Youth Music Festival in Slovakia over the weekend.

The choir, composed of indigenous children from the Paiwan tribe, deeply moved the judges and audience with their voices and emotionally rich performances, CNA reported. After the competition, the choir gathered to wave the Taiwanese flag and sang the national anthem alongside Representative to Slovakia Lee Nan-yang (李南陽).

Lee thanked the choir for their dedication to preserving and passing on Taiwan’s Indigenous culture through music. He noted that their performance earned recognition on the international stage and deepened cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties between Taiwan and Slovakia.

In recent years, the Puzangalan Children’s Choir has frequently competed and performed overseas. Their fame has reached to Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. In 2024, they won the Youth Gold Prize at the 13th World Peace Choral Festival in Vienna.
