Taiwan and Israel launch bilateral working holiday program
台灣與以色列啟動雙邊打工度假計劃
Applications open for year-long visas for young adults
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A bilateral working holiday program between Taiwan and Israel began accepting applications on Sunday.
The initiative follows a memorandum of understanding signed in May 2023 to establish the Taiwan-Israel Working Holiday Program, according to Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). Israel becomes the 18th country to launch a reciprocal working holiday visa arrangement with Taiwan.
After finalizing implementation procedures and allocating resources, both countries are now set to issue up to 200 special work visas annually for young people.
MOFA said the program aims to deepen mutual understanding and encourage cultural and social exchange between Taiwan and Israel.
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application. Successful applicants will be granted a one-year visa, per the MOFA press release.
Taiwanese citizens can find further details about the program and application process at MOFA’s Youth Taiwan website or via the Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei.
