Taipei's Woobar reinterprets Moschino fragrances into delectable afternoon tea bites

'Bear Bites' desserts and cocktails inspired by Moschino perfumes


TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — W Taipei’s Woobar has teamed up with Italian luxury fragrance house Moschino Parfum, inviting guests to taste snacks that transform signature scents into edible art.

“Bear Bites,” available until June 30, features five desserts and two savory bites. Each is inspired by the fragrance profiles of four Moschino perfumes, including citrus, rose, vanilla, and amber.

Woobar's senior bartender, Jacob Chiu, has crafted three unique cocktails featuring aromatic bitters, which are frequently found in perfumery. These drinks are paired with the dishes to enhance the sensory-rich experience.

Menu highlights include the Almond shell, lemon mousse pearl, which mirrors Moschino's “Toy 2 Pearl” with zesty citrus and oceanic visuals. Its paired cocktail, Bear Pearl, echoes the fragrance's heavy jasmine scent by incorporating jasmine-infused gin and hinoki bitters.

The “Toy 2 Bubble Gum” perfume is reimagined as a Black currant ganache macaron and “Bear Bubble” cocktail, combining dark fruit, peach, and rhubarb notes with playful pink aesthetics.

The Perilla currant smoked salmon jelly and lemon cheese popsicle mousse is inspired by the elegant structure and golden tones of Moschino's “Toy 2.” The aiyu jelly base evokes the clarity of a glass bottle, while the lemon cheese mousse popsicle playfully captures the fragrance's golden hue and zesty notes.

The Jasmine apple citrus mousse tart offers a multi-layered taste experience with its jasmine-citrus compote, apple jelly center, and white currant topping. The non-alcoholic Bear toy mocktail provides a sophisticated floral flavor, centered on jasmine, and blends floral and scented teas with lychee puree, honey, and lime juice for a vibrant and aromatic conclusion.

Moschino's “Toy Boy” perfume is reinterpreted as the bold Serrano truffle potato tart and blackberry Grand Marnier chocolate tart, combining savory and dark chocolate elements that reflect the fragrance’s richness and sophistication.

The Bear Bites set costs NT$2,588 (US$80) for two and includes a signature cocktail, coffee or tea, and two complimentary 5 ml Moschino Parfum miniatures.
