Thai photographer and graffiti artist highlight Taiwan's natural and cultural landscapes

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Tourism Administration said on Wednesday that Taiwan landscapes created by two Thai artists are being featured on Bangkok's public transportation.

The administration's Bangkok office invited photographer Kankavee and graffiti artist Benzilla to Taiwan for a creative project this year. Their works were unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday, per CNA.

Their works are displayed on Bangkok Mass Transit System subway cars and at the Sala Daeng and Chatuchak Park stations, the administration said. Some feature 3D effects, offering Thai passengers an immersive experience of Taiwan’s beauty.

Taiwan’s envoy in Thailand Doong Sy-chi (董思齊) attended the event. He said the tourism promotion is a collaboration between Taiwan and Thailand aimed at attracting more Thai visitors.

Kankavee traveled to regions in Taiwan, including Tainan, Kaohsiung, Hualien, and Taitung to capture the nation’s cultural and natural landscapes with his camera.

Benzilla created graffiti artwork themed around Taiwan's festivals and popular tourist attractions, showcasing the nation's unique character.

The office also invited the popular Thai band No One Else to visit Taiwan. After their return, the band composed a song showcasing the country's beauty.

The administration chose Thai actor Alek to serve as Taiwan's tourism ambassador in January. He also starred in a nine-minute short film titled "Taiwan(na) Go with Me?" to promote tourism.
