夢幻新藝術展在台北開展
Highlights include enchanting tunnel and panoramic displays
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Following the success of the immersive "150th Anniversary of Impressionism Light and Shadow Exhibition" and "Animated Along the River During the Qingming Festival," the "Art Nouveau Immersive Exhibition” invites visitors on a journey through the artistic revolution of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The art nouveau, a radical departure from traditional aesthetics, emerged in late 19th-century Europe. Artists embraced organic forms, drawing inspiration from nature and abandoning rigid, decorative styles in favor of flowing lines and fluidity, ushering in a new era of artistic and design innovation.
Hosted at Huashan Culture Creative Park until April 6 next year, the exhibition spans five distinctive zones featuring masterpieces by Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, and other renowned artists, enhanced by 360-degree immersive projections and artificial intelligence experiences.
The exhibition illustrates Art Nouveau's enduring influence on modern aesthetics. Highlights include an enchanting tunnel, immersive projections of Klimt's gilded masterpieces, and panoramic displays of Mucha's works.
The exhibition is organized into five themed zones:
Zone 1: Elegant Dance
Journey back to late 19th-century Europe and witness the evolution of Art Nouveau. Drawing inspiration from nature—particularly plants, flowers, and insects—the works pulse with organic rhythms reminiscent of an elegant waltz.
This artistic movement strikes a delicate balance between tradition and modernity, weaving classical elegance with innovative spirit to create an era that bridges past and future.
Zone 2: City of Splendor
The exhibition presents extraordinary masterpieces of the period. Experience Klimt's revolutionary use of gold leaf, color, and symbolism creating luxurious, mysterious visual effects.
Discover Mucha's distinctive style, characterized by flowing lines and floral motifs in his portrayal of female figures. The zone also features works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Egon Schiele.
Zone 3: House of Gold
This immersive space reimagines the masterworks of Klimt and Mucha through a blend of lighting, projection, and sound. Klimt's golden paintings create an otherworldly atmosphere, while Mucha's intricate curves and floral elements embody romantic naturalism.
Zone 4: Path of Brilliance
Enter a tunnel where stained glass comes alive through innovative lighting techniques. The space transforms into a dreamlike gallery where chromatic shadows dance and shift.
Each step reveals new interplays of light and color, creating a dynamic artistic environment that celebrates the movement's boundless creativity.
Zone 5: Eternal Kingdom
Step into a timeless realm featuring the genius of "God's Architect" Antoni Gaudi, Hector Guimard, and Charles Lewis Tiffany. Their architectural and decorative masterpieces, from Gaudi's organic architecture to Guimard's industrial designs and Tiffany's luminous glasswork, continue to radiate brilliance, embodying the movement's immortal aesthetic values and artistic vitality.
