Taiwan's priciest buffet 'A Joy' releases autumn menu

台灣最貴自助餐「A Joy」推出秋季菜單

Buffet offers comprehensive experience combining art, culture, cuisine

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – A Joy on the 86th floor of Taipei 101 is one of Taiwan's premier buffets.

This high-altitude sanctuary blends food, culture, craftsmanship, and design. The spacious dining area, adorned with art pieces and culinary delights, creates a unique visual and gastronomic experience.

A Joy recently earned a Light Environment Award finalist spot, showcasing its exceptional spatial design.

The restaurant showcases Taiwan's diverse landscapes through four themed areas: Mountain, Sea, Plains, and City. For autumn, the space transforms into a warm, earthy-toned haven with pampas grass installations reminiscent of Taiwan's high mountains.

A Joy offers top-tier tableside service and a curated selection of premium, seasonal ingredients sourced from across Taiwan.

Of the over 300 dishes, must-try delicacies are the giant fresh oysters, exquisite A5 Wagyu seared nigiri sushi, grilled lobster, scallops, and abalone. Other highlights include the seared rib-eye steak, Peking duck, and crab roe, truffle xiaolongbao.

The latest autumn menu features 12 new dishes blending Taiwanese, French, Japanese, and Italian elements. Recommended dishes include braised rice cake with mud crab and shrimp roe, sweet strawberry pear with king crab cheese salad, red date-scented mini meatballs, and steamed duck and apple risotto.

A Joy's uniforms, designed by JUST IN XX's founder Justin Chou (周裕穎), blend art and culture, humorously reflecting the clash between Eastern and Western cultures. Inspired by Taiwan's natural beauty, they are made with eco-friendly materials and resemble moving landscape paintings.

A Joy's lunch and dinner are priced at NT$3,280 (US$101) and NT$3,880 respectively, plus a 10% service charge.
